Eric Truglas

Eric A. Truglas is a well-known French master chef whose culinary expertise spans over 40 years across France, the United States, and the Caribbean. Born in a suburban neighborhood of Paris, Eric’s passion for cooking was nurtured by his grandmother’s brilliant culinary skills and his grandfather’s garden, imparting a love for fresh, seasonal ingredients. After graduating from culinary school, he honed his skills at Le Fouquet’s in Paris and aboard the Orient Express, cooking for celebrities during the train’s launch. Eric later moved to the U.S., overcoming challenges, including homelessness, to achieve success at prestigious hotels and resorts. He authored the cookbook “Southwest: La Cuisine du Soleil” and opened several restaurants in Florida. Eric is a dedicated father who balances his culinary career with parenting while facing personal challenges, including two cancer battles. He is a distinguished Maitre Cuisinier de France member and remains dedicated to mentoring the coming generation of chefs.
